Sunrise has been managing active seniors housing throughout Southern California and Arizona since 1978. We currently consult to 22 senior living communities serving affordable and luxury markets in Southern California and Maricopa County, AZ, totaling 2,286 units.

There is a growing range of senior community development models providing various levels and combinations of congregate care and independent living services to seniors and the management of these disparate property types requires emphasis on different management strategies and capabilities.
Sunrise Management specializes in the active independent senior market, and we have developed successful management and marketing strategies and innovative recreation and activity programs to serve this particular, growing market.

One of the keys to a successful senior community consulting and management program lies in the hiring and training of the site staff. Over the years that Sunrise has managed units specifically for seniors, we have developed a deep understanding of the unique, changing needs of active independent seniors. Our specialized programs have evolved from this understanding and appreciation.
We have established relationships with over 40 local and regional senior service agencies that provide us with an excellent network of referrals to our communities, as well as determining when each group should step in and assisting us when residents can no longer able to care for themselves in this type of facility and need more complete care. Many of these agencies now provide many of the health screening, social service and educational programs that we offer to our residents, and more cost-effectively than could be done otherwise.
With the baby-boomer generation approaching retirement, we foresee a continuing growth in this market for managed units for the mature adult, featuring full amenity packages and additional services such as planned activities and scheduled transportation. Our professional Sunrise staff members provide unparalleled customer service to these residents and prompt maintenance services.
